Robin's the kind of guy you don't realize you've got until he's long gone.

A lightning rod at times, indeed, but if you go back and read his columns and articles from the old days (70s, 80s) in the old back newspapers, it's a wealth of information and insight. Were some of his opinions controversial? Of course. Some were off the wall even back then. Some came true, some were crazy. But the insider type information was top notch. The sport was/is lucky to have him around, because I believe the passion he has for the sport is real.

I listened to the Dinner With Racers interview the other day and it is still some of the most wonderful, entertaining audio ever recorded.

Not my opinion. Just the facts.

                        Robin, please write the book.

Robin is a cool dude. He made me cringe a few times but it's the long record, not just one story or ten, that make him the writer he is.
I've been fortunate enough to get to listen to him and some old timers shoot the breeze late into the evening.
The stories go on and on and there is so much I end up remembering - nothing.
