Chicago - good place to meet and a coffee shop?

I'm meeting a VERY NEW soon to be race fan at the race this Sunday. She's never been to a race before (read: no concept of how huge its going to be).

Where is a good place at or around the track to tell her to meet? I'll have her ticket so it has to be outside.

AND - does someone know if there's a Starbucks on other coffee shop type place near the track.

OK, the track is in Unincorporated Joliet. Not much around there, and what is ain't sbux.


The closest decent place to meet up is Les Brothers in New Lenox. Good food, but a bit greasy spoony.

It's on rt 30 west of the i-80 exit.
In the Big K outlot.

Come to think of it New Lenox may have a starbucks by now, but I'm not sure. If so it's probably further East on 30 by Jewel.

When you say "meeting place", do you mean within walking distance of the track?

If not, I'd meet at the Metra Station in Joliet. They had a shuttle bus to and from the track last year that was awesome.

Also, there are signs all over town directing people to it.

I did mean near the track but the Metra Station is a great idea! Thanks.
