  • OT - Login Problems

A very helpful TrackForum member offered this suggestion:

"1) Click the new "eyeball" logo you'll see in the lower right of the browser. This brings up a list of cookies involved with the site displayed (they'll probably all say "Blocked"). called the "Privacy Report".
    2) Click the "Settings" button in the lower right corner of the Privacy Report.
    3) In the "Internet Properties" box, click the tab that says "Privacy."
    4) In the "Privacy" window that appears, click the "Edit" button on the bottom right.
    5) Type "trackforum.com" in the window that says "Address of Web Site," then click the "Allow" button.
    6) Come back to Track Forum and log in.

    "Hope that helps--Jeff B."

We also got this response from another member:

"Further info which may help the next person.

On my system, the URL for Trackforum once I access the home page is
    translated - i.e.
    http://64.226.6.90/cgi-bin/ultimateb...c&f=5&t=000789

So when I allow www.trackforum.com, the other URL's are still blocked.

    This worked for me ...

    1) Click the new "eyeball" logo you'll see in the lower right of the
browser. This brings up a list of cookies involved with the site displayed
(they'll probably all say "Blocked"). called the "Privacy Report".
    2) A list of cookies will be shown. Right-click on one of them (any one
will work). They will all start with http://64.226.6.90 or something like
    that.
    3) On the menu which appears, select "Always accept cookies from this site"
    4) Close the dialog.
    5) Come back to Track Forum and log in.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction ...

And thanks for the best forum out there."

    IF ALL ELSE FAILS:

There seems to be a problem with only certain Internet Explorer users due to the new frames design. If the directions above don't work for you, please try using this direct link (without the frames) and logging in from there.

Let me know if the problem persists.

This has been posted before, but with the traffic we've been getting it sinks fast.

With Comcast I had to switch to Internet Explorer 6.0 and it's the pits  Puter runs slower and I can't get into places that I used to. It even blocked me from geting in here for a while

I have IE 6 on my new 'puter along with Windows XP.I have had no problems getting on and it's faster than my old rig with IE 4,5 or 5.5 and Windows 98.Maybe it's dumb luck.If so,I'll take it.
