Had NASCAR not changed the rules for how one makes the Chase, I'd have said Simona, since while she's not likely to race in an F1 Grand Prix (the odds of any one driver doing that are low to begin with), I didn't think he'd ever run Indy as long as the Chase all but required staying in the top ten in points. To much on the line to risk that.

In fact, as a side note, I think the changes to the Chase make it easier in general for a Cup driver to try the double, since being late for the race in Charlotte (and thus not getting those points) doesn't hurt your Chase chances NEARLY as much.

At least Kurt is in talks with teams and has tested an Indy Ca already. Simona's plans are still somewhat foggy and her ride in F1 doesn't seem to be guaranteed.

The reason I think Simona has the higher chance is because it's been a while since a talented woman has been on track for ANYTHING in F1, and Busch is still committed to NASCAR. There's some clear attraction in getting Simona an F1 seat to the people involved, whilst Kurt Busch is past his prime in the eyes of many fans and isn't as likely to have as much pull to the concept.

This is from the Racer article
Simona de Silvestro could find herself on the Formula 1 grid in 2015, and to give herself the best chance to succeed, the 25-year-old will dedicate the rest of the year preparing for a Grand Prix future that comes with no guarantees.
