  • Future of Brazilian GP Not Dead - Still Kicking

This was shared on another forum. The article is written in Portuguese so I'm not sure how well of a job Google translate does but it's the best I could do.
It looks like the television company is trying to revamp the race and does own the rights to the race until 2019. Let's hope for the best the race makes a comeback.

The original source of the news is Folha de S. Paulo, a very reliable newspaper.

Now, we all know that politicians and businesspeople can be very unreliable.

The assumption is a Brazil race will be part of the Mark Miles international slate, though stupidly in the fall.

I'm glad there is at least talk about it. That looked like it was a popular race and a great market for Indycar.

Nice to hear some movement from this. The race has sold out before and the track has given us one of the best finishes on an indycar road course ever. I'd like to see it back.

I'm from Brazil and I can say that there is much rumor here about the outcome of this case.

The return of a race in Brazil will also set the station that will broadcast the Indy for us.

If the TV Bandeirantes can hit a race for 2014, it gets rid of the case being brought against her in court, for breach of contract of SP Indy 300.

As the 2014 calendar is already closed, would be a non-championship race. Can be in Brasilia or Rio de Janeiro, but not in Sao Paulo.

However, if TV Bandeirantes unable to make the race, breaking the contract to conduct an annual race here in 2019 and continues to be processed.

In this case, the Indy would be shown on ESPN in Brazil. And a new race here could happen in 2015. It is plan B.

Setting out until the beginning of March. Exciting is that!

I think the Sao Paolo track is done, they're not going back there. The rumors have been towards other sites in Brazil.
