TF and IMS tend to differ on their definition of "Exciting News." I'll check back in tomorrow...
"Unfortunately, the business types who now permeate the sport don't share this same gut centered devotion. I can only hope that the truly addicted will prevail, and that the original spirit of open wheel competition will somehow manage to survive and prosper into the future."

Is there any concevable announcement that IndyCar could make that would be a moving event for your hosiery, Spike?

What could they announce that you would find positive?

Doesn't a 7AM announcement seem a strange time for anything really big ?

My first guess would be revised qualification schedule, but I can't see that would merit special attention from ticket holders. Perhaps ticket holders for the 500 get free admission to qualifications? Or to the road race? Or to the antique car race?
I'm from a place called the internet. Nothing disturbs me.

Maybe they're moving the start time up so NASCAR drivers can do the double.

Just in time for the Morning Drivetime news cycle, Eastern Time Zone.

Just what I was thinking. It must be something important for the locals.

Miles said on Trackside this week that they won't make a decision on quals until March 1st
I'd rather have 10% of the world interested in the ICS than 50% of US that NASCAR currently has

It is probably the antique car race. I can't wait for that one.

Neither can I. I'm racing in it.

And not all the cars are "antiques."

I got a club buddy who's racing a Cheetah for the event. It's gonna be great.

Would be odd for them to do an announcement about the Vintage race when they already have information posted on their site about it. I think I got an email as well.
