What at you said is no different than someone who dislikes IndyCar, "watching" the Indy 500, and then coming here to say "Seeing people calling this manufactured race "exciting" just make you see that this sport has no salvation at all." And just think, those people aren't allowed to post their non-constructive opinion, even though many of them share the same opinion of the last 2 (or more) Indy 500s as you did of this race.
If you actually have something worth discussing about, or something with some substance outside of a nicer way of saying "This sucked," I would love to read it and possibly discuss it with you. But when you essentially post something along the lines of "this sucked," it only comes off as trolling.

It's ok mate. I already saw you don't like someone's else opinion if it goes against yours. Very common these days. They merged both series, unfortunately, had to check how it was going and give my opinion if I wanted to. For what I know I'm not forced to give detailed info about what I think.Religion can't save. On another note, anyone saw in the DP crash was there a yellow flag in the point warning the drivers? I saw the video a few times but not in so good quality.Religion can't save. Jesus can because He loves you!

AIUI, P2s should be higher 400s and the DPs in higher 500s for horsepower, or around that. DPs also run at 1039kg vs the P2 900kg, so 139kg/306lbs difference.

Indycar News- Rahal mentioned that they will be announcing their 2nd car's driver soon. Fryer has hinted that it's Servia. Daly doesn't seem optimistic about his odds of securing a ride.
In one lap Kyle Larson has managed to stall the car leaving the pits and get a pit lane speeding penalty. Anyone else think that Chip kind of threw him to the wolves by just sticking him in the car for a night stint with such little experience? That 02 car should be competetive, the rest of the drivers are studs.
Chip had no problem putting the Indy Lights champ in that same situation and Karam did excellent. I'd say he totally passed the test. I don't think Sage Karam ever did a pitstop before this race. I don't think he stalled or missed the marks during his stints from what I saw.

According to Twitter (and the official website - http://www.imsa.com/articles/porsche...-sprint-finish ) The "avoidable contact" penalty (called an "aggressive driving" penalty on the series website) has been rescinded and Level 5 #555 has been restored as the GTD class champion.
Glad the right decision was made, but it sucks that they couldn't have made the right decision in the first place and they didn't make the right decision until after they went off the air.

Kind of refreshing for stewards to review their call and realize they screwed up. Not graceful, but very admirable
Congrats to Towsend, who drove some wicked awesome stints and definitely did his part to earn that watch. Happy for Bourdais too and like many others here I hope he can win the Big 24 at Lemans.
Cool of chip to throw Sage 2 stints since that car was out of contention. It was really odd though, to see a Ganassi team struggle so much in the pits. They just seemed out of sorts. Apparently the crew was thrashing on the cars and couldn't get much pit stop practice. Just shows how much of a team sport this is.
Great race in GTLM. Aleshin did not know he was being passed and almost put Hand into the wall while he was chasing down the Porsche. Baby Rahal would be wise to shut his trap about it though. Those RLL BMWs will have a great year and that class will be a dogfight.
I actually think that LMP2s will end up being the dominant car and DP's will either have to be redesigned from the ground up or retired. Getting the DP's up to the faster spec ended up being almost as expensive as purchasing an LMP2 chassis new. Daytona is going to favor the DP's with the big trioval since the lighter LMPs have fewer corners to catch up to the LMP2s with. A better gauge will be Sebring. Getting these cars to run together is not an easy undertaking but I think the crew is doing a great job.
Last Comment- The amount and length of yellows was very NASCAR-like. I'm torn about it though. It wasn't the kind of Mickey Mouse blatant stuff we see in NASCAR but it was very clear that race control would take any excuse it could find to bunch up the field and not let cars run away from each other. That being said it ended up being an interesting race in the last few hours... certainly a better TV product for that time window than most endurance races. Maybe they've reached a compromise between NASCAR race-making and Lemans' inability to capture an American attention span.Last edited by BizzyV; 01-26-2014, 11:25 PM."Unfortunately, the business types who now permeate the sport don't share this same gut centered devotion. 1. 1st time in a race car with roof and fenders
2. 1st time in a race over and hour long
3. 1st time ever done pit stopsI'd rather have 10% of the world interested in the ICS than 50% of US that NASCAR currently has
