http://www.racer.com/robin-millers-m...rticle/329423/ Here is some more tidbits of info. Also, listened to Trackside Live last evening with Cavin and Kevin. Andretti will run a fifth car. Townsend Bell back NBC and will be in the 500 again. Band TV owes IndyCar 9 million and it appears they may have a fall race to honor contract. Pole weekend still being worked on and the Title Sponsor too. SFHR has hired Pegasus Marketing for the 2014 season.

For the drivers meeting. IndyCar is in no position to ignore the input of any stakeholder. There isn't a single aspect of the series that couldn't do without major improvement so getting the outlook of the drivers as well as making sure they know there is more they can do is a good step.
There hasn't been much in the way of production coming out from any of the new hires so one can only hope that they are more like Walker in being open to finding out what everybody thinks about what can be done. I can say that I wrote to DW, actual on paper letter and for the first time in Indy racing history got a written reply from someone at the series.
As for the recap here of TS. Yeah the series is working on everything and Cavin and Lee always see sunshine no matter the clouds. I wonder about the BandTV situation. Wasn't there just a lawsuit filed, so how before that gets decided in a court do they owe IndyCar $9 million and there could be a race to cover it? And even if it did go down that way, it wouldn't amount to any vindication of the winter series idea if it was a one and done to satisfy the debt."You can't arrest those guys, they're folk heroes"
"They're criminals"
"Well most folk heroes started out as criminals"

Personally what I expect is a steady drip of news starting in late Feb. NASCAR is doing the same this month with the coming season.I'd rather have 10% of the world interested in the ICS than 50% of US that NASCAR currently has

Doesn't it sound more real and respectable when the report says that Derrick Walker is talking to the drivers instead of the other guys we've had in the past? As a fan that make a heck of a difference."In IndyCar, no one makes money. It's just great, pure racing." - Sebastien Bourdais
