Well we should expect sponsorship or driver announcements relatively soon you'd expect. So do you all think it will be Barracuda Networks again? JR Hildebrand or Luca Filippi?

    They better hope it's Barracuda.
"If your car was a dog, then you had to figure it out and test your own limits. And we didn't go to a wind tunnel – we did it in the first turn at Indianapolis."

A "good" source told me last week that Luca will be signing with the team this week. If JR can find enough $ he could land in a 2nd car with the team.

Barracuda's value has more than doubled since they were listed on the NYSE (CUDA) last year, so I don't see any issue with sponsorship.

I need some sources. That's all the rumors I have heard though is Luca is the head guy.

For what it is worth as a buyer/user of Barracuda products I have let our sales rep know while I appreciate the support of IndyCar I may appreciate it more ($$$) if JR ends up driving the car they sponsor this year.

            Is it May yet ?

But once they went public, they have a very public board of directors and not a private CEO who can dictate. Private company sponsorships are often done on the heart and devotion by the owners.
I hope they still have a mandate to keep up sponsorships and that they can see a value to sponsoring IndyCar. Many public companies that used to sponsor the series do not perceive any value to having their name on a sidepod anymore.

Unlike that other open wheel series (F1) it doesn't cost $100 million for a title sponsorship. I can see some B2B opportunities here with Barracuda supplying equipment to the team as well.

If you take a look at Team Penske, they've retained two high profile sponsors for the coming season: Hitachi and Verizon. AA and Ganassi don't seem to have any sponsor trouble. Rahal, by the looks of it, has two fully sponsored cars. Obviously there was a lot of fuss about Aleshin replacing Vautier, but I'm not sure if it's as much of a downgrade as implied.
