  • Met Tony Kanaan @ SEMA in Las Vegas

    Brief, but very nice.

Anybody at SEMA should go see him. He was autographing posters of the Borg Warner Trophy. (There was no one in line.)

Dixon, Carpenter and Hildebrand are there as well.

You have him confused with Soylent Green.

Soylent Green was a sponsorship deal that never came through.

If no one is in line, does it cease to be a line?

Don't feel too bad. SEMA is a show for automotive industry professionals and is not open to the general public. As such, there's not a lot of the usual wide-eyed, ticket-buying, fan types there in the first place.

                    Did you see my brothers?
I have spent more time here than I did in school.

Speaking of Kanaan, he said to NBCSN recently that he looks forward to working with a championship calibre team. http://motorsportstalk.nbcsports.com...ch-first-test/

“It’s a huge opportunity for me, to join the team that just won the championship,” he said at the Borg-Warner display at the SEMA Show on Tuesday. “It’s quite remarkable to be able to go there at this stage in my career.”

Actually the team that Kanaan is leaving won the only championship that is remembered.

The 500 is a race, not a championship.

You mean... remembered by you. I can tell you, without researching it, who won the IndyCar Series championship (not CART/CCWS, but IRL/IndyCar) every year since 1996. I could not, however, tell you, nor do I care, who won the nascar championship in any given year, though I know Jimmie Johnson won several consecutively, nor could I name any of the Daytona 500 winners, any F1 champions since Schumacher, etc. The point is, we all choose what to prioritize and what to forget. As an IndyCar fan and supporter, I choose to be as knowledgable as I can be. I would suggest you not presume to speak for anyone other than yourself.
