Finally got a chance to watch it. I haven't been the biggest fan of his but he seemed to come off as a really likable good guy. I think he did a good job.

agreed...don't ask a question if you don't know the answer. In this case, Dave is fairly knowledgeable and has a good idea on how the question would be answered.

Too bad Letterman didn't show any of the highlights from Fontana re: the super close racing they had and Dixon winning the Championship. That would have been super PR right there.

It saddens me that more people watched Scott Dixon on the Letterman show than the total number who watched him at an actual race or on tv.
Scott Dixon did a nice job representing Indy Car.

    This.

I find it amazing that Racing Steward would not pick up on this.

Yes they are. And when you see them at the autograph tent it is remarkable how fit and skinny they are. Reinforces how old and fat I am.

I agree. I always go out of my way to watch Dave when drivers are on. Every once in awhile he throws something in that makes it clear he's an actual fan...like when Vettel was on I think he asked about DRS and KERS.

that's the way I always saw it too- I would imagine he understands racing quite well- heck I just watched the video of him interviewing Mario in T3 at the 500 in 1971!

BTW, I always felt Dave knew quite a bit about wildlife too- he always seems to have some pretty knowledgeable questions for Jack Hannah

On a positive note, nice to see Dixon get some exposure. His character has shown alot more during the last several years and its nice to see your champion getting some recognition. A real class act and the best driver of his generation and one of the very best in the world currently.
