  • Where is Jakes Going to Land?

With KV testing other drivers and in need of a driver that brings $$$, what is up with Jakes?

Racing Steward, Hitokiri, anyone know yet?

Back to Rahal, over to Panther?

    If I missed a post, I apologize.

I like Jakes at Panther. Good fit. Jakes has a win in him if things fall into place.

He really impressed me with his pace this year. Good enough to be paid to drive? No. But I think he is a solid ride buy for somebody, and he still has upside. I'd look for him to be added as a second car.

He was looking to be paid to drive. Could it be because his dad is feeling the hurt in the wallet? As long as he can fund his own seat, he is a good take. I wouldn't throw in money to finish his budget though, if I were a team owner.

If he leaves Rahal, I could see him at KV or Panther, though the option of SFHR or ECR adding a 2nd car would be made a lot easier with the Acorn $.

If Viso is gone, I could see Jakes winning at Andretti.
I'm from a place called the internet. Nothing disturbs me.

Is this his 2nd or 3rd full year with us in Indycar?

Btw open wheel drivers do so well in scoring hotties its not even funny.
I'd rather have 10% of the world interested in the ICS than 50% of US that NASCAR currently has

That being so, I don't know if Jakes is secretly a 00 for the British Secret Service but there is more talent hanging around his paddock then one could ever imagine. Its was one of those jaw dropping things that I had know idea or expected. "Wow, really", "Huh", "WOW?" is all that could come to mind.

NASCAR have been doing well there as of late, too.

From an article earlier this year Jakes has already said he's looking around for options which tells me that RLLR isn't his first choice or either he doesn't want to be there. Now that the National Guard sponsor has gone to Graham I believe Big O Tire well move to the second car which in returns means that RLLR can now select a driver instead of taking a pay driver. I've said it before but I wouldn't be surprised if we see someone like Ryan Briscoe in the RLLR with Jakes at somewhere like Dragon Racing. Some might see Dragon as a downgrade from RLLR but when comparing the two this year and what Bourdais accomplished - it could be tempting for Jakes to go there. If Simona doesn't sign at KVR I can also see Jakes going there as well since the second seat is traditionally held by a ride buyer.

Jakes consistently outperformed in Graham Rahal all of 2013. Jakes is certainly quicker than Graham. I would certainly think that Panther will try to get him or perhaps KVSH. Jakes has certainly improved his race craft since joining IndyCar.
