  • Andretti Guys Are Not Happy With Their Team...

It's pretty clear at least Hinch and RHR are tired of the cars falling apart every race...

I do indeed get that impression. AA has fallen apart in the second half of the season.

Strangely Marco has held up better the second half than his team mates. Hinch was really torqued off but bit his tongue pretty well

Wonder if RHR is regretting turning down that offer from The Captain?

Has it been determined what happened to Hinch on the start? Looks to me like he just stalled it on the grid.

I just assumed it was something to do with chevy, but he didnt want to throw them under the bus. Just a guess though. if it was his fault, he would have came out and said it I think.

He was VERY careful to not say what the problem was. Maybe some sort of electronic thing that Chevy or AA was trying that didn't work? I agree that if it had been his fault he would have stepped up and taken the blame.

I would think he was pissed because the "anti-stall" system did not work.

And AA/RHR has had numerous problems with that this year.

I was under the impression that anti-stall systems had been dropped because of problems with them maintaining hot engines(same problem that killed Champ Car's plans for onboard starters in 2007 to reduce need for full-course cautions due to spin stalls). Did I miss the news of that being fixed?

Hinch has always been one to step up and say he screwed up so I have to think it was the car

It's just bad luck. RHR said the fuel hose stuck and some caught fire and melted wiring. It's racing.

I know they had problems last year, but I thought they had to get anti-stall fixed before trying standing starts this year.

Although Hinch has botched a standing start before (Gold Coast), the way he came out of the car, I don't think it was him who screwed up. AA has had a ton of reliability issues this year. RHR has had stalling issues on pit lane multiple times this year and has had 3-4 races affected due to a mechanical issue. Marco dominated every single session in Milwaukee until his car suffered mechanical failure. Not to jinx him, but is Viso the only one unscathed?
