    Hey,

I always watched the Speed Sunday night wrap-up show to get my weekly racing news (I could watch highlights of the series I enjoyed (Indycar, USAC, Moto and F1) and FF thru disciplines I didn't care much for (Pickup Trucks)). Now that Fox1 has taken over, is there another racing highlight type show out there I can load into my Tivo or is everything now just Nascar?

That is the question for the ages. Sure would liked to have had WindTunnel for some Baltimore post-race discussion...hope someone comes up with something to replace SpeedCenter and WT.

ESPN and Fox have NASCAR shows buried somewhere, but that's really it. Robin Miller has said that Racer.com may do something, and that IMS Productions have been spoken to.
"If your car was a dog, then you had to figure it out and test your own limits. And we didn't go to a wind tunnel – we did it in the first turn at Indianapolis."

I think NBCSN has some sort of motor sports highlights show, but I can't recall what it's called, or when it normally airs. I think it's on Sunday nights, but I'm not sure.

I think you might be talking about Mobil 1: The Grid. It covers every kind of motorsports world wide, but it is not a timely show, some of the stufff they cover is weeks old.

I posted to RACER on FB that now that Speed Center is gone they should go to NBCSN and pitch a Racer TV news show. Their response was "Stay tuned".

my guess is something has to happen

we haven't really been without some sort of weekly wrap-up of all the major series since when they first started making them in the mid-80s

of course I could be wrong, and I'll be greatly disappointed that it has come to this for motorsports in this day and age of hundreds of channels.....

Exactly what I was thinking. I guess I didn't realize how much I would miss Speed Center and Wind Tunnel until now. It wasn't "must watch tv" for me on a weekly basis. I did however DVR them every week and forward thru them to get extra news and highlights from the different series that I follow.

It's been a few weeks and other than reading articles about the races, it's hard to find one place to track down highlights and commentary for them! We need a new Speed Center type show!

Just about every day I get a news report from NSSN and AutoWeek.

SpeedTV was the reason I did not lower my tier on DirecTV. I need to renegotiate my package again now there is a PIT left open in the Sunday Night schedule that was a staple for me. Now NOTHING - FOX tossed out the baby with the bathwater into the "vast wasteland."

I agree, we need some type of Sunday wrap-up show.

I miss Speed Center and really miss WindTunnel

More than anything, I miss Dave Despain. I think he is the best auto racing broadcast journalist ever.
