  • Alex Zenardi--Crash and Recovery

I don't know if this was posted before, but, since I have never seen it, I am posting it here.
Warning, there is some showing of his injuries in the car.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

I have seen that, but it (and Alex himself) never gets less amazing to me. Stephen Olvey's EXCELLENT book "Rapid Response" also covers it in-depth. A must-read for the openwheel fan.
    I ride tandem/with the random/Things don't run the way I planned them.

I will never forget that day. My friends and I made the trip to Germany for that race. Great crowd, great post 9-11 support from the German and European community, and a great race till that moment. My friends and I didn't think Alex would live through the crash. A week later we returned to Seattle and found out he had lived, we where amazed. Dr Trammell, Dr Olvey and their crews have done so much to help our favorite drivers, they are my heros!

I just watched this. Now I must ask, why is there not a movie about this legend yet?

There aren't many racing movies made, and less still bio movies.

to be fair, the closeups of Alex in the car and hospital bed were reenactments done by others...
