double headers are good now because the racing is good. remember in the past there have been some just horrible streat parades. if changes on the technical or competition side bring street parades back, the double headers would be a disaster. i'd think more evaluation is appropriate before making every twisty into a double.

It makes the expense and hassle of travel more appealing. Green Savoree will have their way.
I agree - if it's good then fine but I would sure like to see more on the bill so to speak.

Of ICS maybe but certainly not the sport. The only reason this is happening is (1) Claim a certain # of races and (2) provide more entertainment in light of a noticable absence of support series and heavily diluted Lights program.

It's not as though it's a proactive measure that is ground breaking.

What would be really good is a balance of racing with morre ovals. BUT I would add ovals that included a road course (IMS/Daytona) and try and pair up with GA/ALMS on weekends where they can run a 12 hour (road coourse) through the night, followed by ICS on the oval - a bit of racing for everyone.

If we cannot have a decent support race then run ICS on the road course on Saturday and oval on Sunday - that would be a fantastc double header IMO and again, everyone is happy as far as fans are concerned.

I've thought much the same on oval /roadcourse doubles except that with a very few exceptions, the infield courses well, suck.

Road racing is doomed...what this country needs is a big new racetrack designed for automobiles instead of horses. C.G. Fisher

They should award double headers for long term contracts or have them as a rotating perk, something like ever 5 years a track gets a double header (outside of Indianapolis).
I don't have a profile because I think profiling is wrong.
