As I recall, Bruno is still at least marginally in the championship hunt. There is no way Chip is going to come out and say that he's bailing out of CART while the championship is still a possibility - because if he does, you can bet that Bruno will never see anyone in front of him get a move-over flag...

Note where Andretti has been qualifying as of late. Coincidence?

Note that Andretti has been qualifying there most of the season, and Team Green has been highly inconsistent since the outset. No conspiracy--Honda does not seem to be providing the same power as Toyota, Green switched chassis mid season, and Green IMHO has never been consistent.


Besides, the only way Bruno wins the title is if DaMatta suddenly starts blowing engines or crashing.

It depends ... If it's backless and chiffon ... maybe something with puffy sleeves ... I say yes ... he looks stupid.



Seriously, the bottom line is that Target want the U.S. exposure. I hate to say this, but, I was perusing some old Miller Q and A's from like March and April of this year and he mentioned that Target was less that happy with the increase of Cart's foreign venues leaving the only thing to look at for ROI being TV time and we all know the story of the TV numbers in both big open-wheel U.S. based series.

He's going where is sponsor wants, or he goes sponsor hunting ... and that's that.

I'd be surprised for a firm official commitment for next year until this years commitments are complete.
