I'D LIKE TO SEE MORE RACING VENUES IN THE SOUTH BESIDES HOMESTEAD/MIAMI, NASHVILLE & RICHMOND. I REALLY MISS HAVING THE IRL IN CHARLOTTE AND ATLANTA!! I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE FANS PARTICIPATING IN ALL ASPECTS WITHIN THE IRL WOULDN'T YOU GUYS AGREE!!! I GET ALOT OF NEGATIVE VIEWS FROM OTHER FANS FROM OTHER SERIES (THE GOOD OL'E BOY'S CROWD) WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THEM, SINCE THEY REALLY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT INDY STYLE RACING!!!! I'VE ALWAYS HAVE BEEN AN INDY RACING FAN SINCE THE DAY'S WHEN JACKIE STEWART RACED BACK IN THE LATE 70'S. I'M HOPING THAT THE IRL WILL ADD MORE PRESSURE TO THOSE GUYS AT SMI AND BRING BACK THE IRL

Easy , son! We're not deef ! I agree with the sentiment ( less driving for me ) , but there's only so many tracks available . Charlotte and Atlanta aren't coming back anytime soon . There was some talk of Darlington , but that died out . Daytona's an accident waiting to happen , Talladega's out of the question.Rockingham's not gonna draw due to location.Doesn't leave a whole lot to pick from .Let's build on RIR,Ky.,and Nashville before we add more tracks down here .Fan of a small Club Series bankrolled by rich men

NASCAR fans can't deal with the faster smaller cars of the IRL according to the owner of the Atlanta track. I guess it is hard to make out IRL cars after a morning of tailgating.
Best chance is to get WDW back on the schedule. Disney owns ABC, ABC/ESPN have rights = low to no fees to air WDW race.

Maddog, The Disney/ABC connection can't be overlooked, but the Disney Corporation didn't get where it is today by giving anything away. Get caught in a rain shower at Disney World and make the mistake of buying a Disney rain poncho...$8 for a trash bag with Mickey's picture on it. Maybe in this Post-9/11 world things might be a little slow for them but I don't see them giving ABC & the IRL a free pass.

TO THE INDY FANS IN SOUTH:
Spread the news to all your good ol' boy fans (probably folks who have never met any of these so called family men) and tell them to come watch us some time and we might be able to keep a few races in the south or bring Atlanta back!

Frankly, they don't give a **** about the IRL down there.
If Atlanta could have put 70K in the stands, the IRL would still be there. And it didn't help that wheels kept finding their way into the stands.
We're lucky to get yankee fans to come to the races. Forget about the deep NASCAR-bred south. (And I don't include Florida in that demographic.)Dave Steele Rocks!!!

A friend of mine, a die-hard NASCAR fan, made the following suggestion. He thinks, an I agree, that the CAB races are too long and that he would like to see two separate races the SAME day...a 200 mile IRL race and a CAB race, 300 to 400 miles depending on the track. Could this EVER happen? Please visit the tribute to my longtime friend Mel Kenyon

hey maddog,
that sounds like a good idea, how well do you think it will sell to IMS & IRL officials? i've seen it done here in charlotte @ their second race, where they a reduce the cost of the tickets two days prior to the racing event. see if you can pass this idea to [email protected]. they represent the promotions department of the IRL in charlotte!! they had posted a note titled irl fans charlotte in trackforum.com look it up!!
