I am hearing that Bradley will have Shiggy in the car as soon as Phoenix.

If this turns out to be the truth...I'm not sure this is the proper way for young Buzz to make his ownership debut.

Although I would like to see that team running, if they are out of the leader's circle benefits what good does this do?
If they are going to put Shiggy in the car, Buzz might as well get back in the car, they would probably do better.

Shiggy's not that bad. He and Buzz drove on about the same level last year, only the shigster missed Indy. Not my first pick for the seat but if he has the money let him run if it keeps the team in the series.

The only way Ray will get the seat is if he buys it.Ride buying is a fact of life in OW and we would all be much better off if we judged drivers on how they actually drove rather than how they got the ride.

Buzz has been in Indy since Monday night and he's agreed to be on my "Inside Racing" radio show Wednesday. Maybe we'll all find out then...

Greg talked about being close over the weekend. He said that if they could dot the i's and cross the t's by the middle of the week then possibly they could be at Pheonix. If indeed Shiggy is in the lead for this ride and indeed Ray is close to a sponsor which car will he be driving?

Given equal sponsorship, if I'm Buzz right now and my choices are between Ray and Shiggy - I'd take Shiggy. Shiggy won't put you in victory circle, but he's also a lot less likely to tear up a lot of equipment - and I seriously doubt if the team can afford that now.

Hmmmm...I seem to remember that the shig tore up two cars at Pikes Peak last year and was unable to run in the race.
I'd rather have the chance to win in between kisses with the wall than be a back marker like Buzz is so accstom to!?!?

Couldn't disagree more.

Shiggy is like dragging out an inevitable decline to non-existence. Sure they are racing, but a back-marker that finishes as the last car still running.

Ray at least gives you a shot (maybe a last shot) at accomplishing something. Running up front and being in the limelight. Maybe even proving something to other teams and themselves. A chance to be measured against other teams.

No choice really.

Definitely disagree on that one. Buzz apparently no longer has the 'drive' to be out there. One way or another, he needs to park it - being out there when you don't have that burning NEED to be out there is a great way to get yourself hurt - or worse.

I'm not so sure Roe is a stinky driver - kind of hard to tell when he's saddled with a tired engine and a chassis that has neither the 2002 nor the 2001 updates on it.

As to Shiggy - my initial impression was that Shiggy should have never been allowed in the IRL - banned from CART should have equaled banned from the IRL. However - they let him in, and he did a credible job.

Don't get me wrong - neither Shiggy or Ray would be my first choice if I were running Bradley. Of the rideless folks out there, my first choice would be Dare, followed by Dis, Steve Knapp, Davy Jones and a host of others - but if my only options were Shiggy or Ray, I simply don't believe the team can afford Ray. When he's good, he's very good (and fast) - but when the car is off at all, or he gets under pressure, he's a wall magnet.
