  • Servia new helemt. Getting ready for the season?

Servia's new helmet. I don't think he would get a completly new helmet with a new paint job just for this one test. Maybe this is a sign that he is getting ready for a full season run?

Drivers have helmets and paint them up nice n new even when they are rideless. They even take them from event to event and hang around in the pits and paddock just waiting for someone to need a driver. Next thing you know PT is injured in morning warm up and Forsythe asks you if you can race the car in about 3 hours.

I do however believe servia's got something cooking with N/H/R. He always has THE best helmet scheme.

I believe the man is Salvador Dali, famous artist and fellow (deceased) Spaniard. The master of surreal art.

I think the helmet is fantastic - love it!

Very unique, hope he gets to use it all year.

Except PT doesn't have a ride and Forsythe doesn't have a team, but other than that you are right on.

I think he was referring to an event of the past

Before I was married I went out on the town with a helmet on my person but it didn't mean I had a full or part-time ride set up.
I was a little bit demoralized on the last laps, but I saw on the last lap that he was driving a little bit carefully, and I thought I might be able to surprise him. It was risky, but it worked." --Alex Zanardi, 09/08/96

Servia uses Arai helmets. His helmet designs have pretty much always been inspired by Dali. There has been many an article about it in the past. This one is very reminiscent of the one he used while at Forsythe. He's got some of the coolest lids in the paddock!
