Let's say Danica wins a race in 2011.
I would make the argument that it would actually be more beneficial to NASCAR than IndyCar if she does.
From everything I've heard/read - she is going to NASCAR next year.
If she wins in IndyCar and mulls around in 28th-35th place a la Sam Hornish or Dario Franchitti in their 1st years in NASCAR, would that not continue to fuel the fire that NASCAR has been pushing the last couple years that "the IndyCar defectives have not had success over here, and that clearly shows (sarcasm on my part) NASCAR is a more demanding style of auto racing"
Right now, one can use the "her only win was on fuel strategy argument", but if she wins legitimately, then no more.
It would give IndyCar a brief boost in the ratings, but I think in the long run, it would actually work against it.
Unless of course she goes over there and has legitimate success. Then this whole argument is nil.
