  • You Hire Kanaan Or You Hire Wheldon?

Oh my God these recent threads have been lame-oh! I can't take another who's gonna race in Vegas thread!:keule:

Can we not get into a good old fashioned bang 'em over the head debate about the actual racing for a change of sanity?

Two guys sitting on the sidelines. Tony Kanaan and Dan Wheldon. You are a team owner, lots of money, lots of sponsors, only one seat to fill. Who you gonna choose and why? I don't care who you hang a poster of in your bedroom, or who could potentially be better for the series. You're an owner, you care about winning, who fills the vacant seat for you?

Those are the choices. Just those two. If you want to hire Davey Hamilton, go start your own dang thread for washed up never made it hang'er on'ers. This is the Brazilian Nose against British Chicklets. Who wins the contract and back it up with some reasoning!

Prepare for some debate in this little soiree! If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the thread. No bunched undies allowed.

    Bring it!

    Wheldon.

I like him better and he is at least equal in talent. Good enough?

If you have to have stats, Dan in on the Borg, TK is not. I want both in INDYCAR though and like both. And Davey has won as much at Indy as TK too...

For me it ultimately comes down to what you want to accomplish. In my opinion TK is the more complete package because he can win on road course and on ovals. Even though Wheldon does better on ovals the major advantage he has over TK is that he won at Indy and has done extremely well there the past few years. So what's bigger - the overall championship and winning races everywhere possible or are you concentrating on ovals and Indy? Both drivers seem to have great personalities and are respected by both fans and drivers.

Neither, I would hire Buddy Rice

If I had to choose, I would choose Wheldon, he is much better at Indianapolis

No not good enough. Sounds like somebodies ten year old daughter answered that. Ohhhh, I like him better!

Come on. You are only going to hire a guy cause he's at least equal in talent??? Is he equal or not? Otherwise you aren't hiring the better driver. Come on lay it out there. Who's better. WHo cares who you like better. You know what, I don't like either of them, but I'd hire Tony! I'd hire Tony cause I think he is just as good as Dan on the ovals, but he buries him on the twisties.

Since the OP said Wheldon or Kanaan, and it doesn't matter which one is better for the series...you're only concerned with which one is going to win....I have two tests. One on a road course and another on a 1.5 mile oval, and I test them both on the same day. Give them equal equipment, and the fastest driver gets the spot.

So it's a one race show for you? And what's with the Buddy Rice garbage? Do you not know how to read?

Tough choice. Both are great. I still haven't got used to Wheldon's teeth but I give the nod to Wheldon anyway.

I am a Huuuuge Wheldon fan, favorite driver by far, that said, if I had to choose I think I would take TK...seems to have a little better opportunity to pick up sponsors (with connections in Brazil), is IMO slightly worse on ovals but is much better on roadies...both are assets to the team and great promoters of the series....Id give a slight edge to TK....HOWEVER, IMO you cant go wrong with either.
I'm gonna wiggle it at 'em, you cheap [email protected]@rd. Be prepared, because when I yank it out, everybody in that audience except my wife is gonna be runnin' for the exits.

Sponsors are of no concern in this thread.

Can't go wrong with either? Really? You think Wheldon can win a road course for ya?
