The IBJ article is actually playing it coy on who big this deal is for IndyCar. Hot Wheels has been getting the hose job from NASCAR for years now and is looking for a new port to settle their ship in that won't demand every penny out of their pocket in licensing. Production has gotten so portable for Hot Wheels that we may see commemorative starting 33's sold the week before the 500 each year. Pretty cool concept, if the rumors are to be believed.

I thought it was funny that Mattel is claiming their target market for these are kids.
Where do I get in line? I love these things, growing up I had to make do with the photos that the Indianapolis News use to print each day in May of one or two of the cars... so by the end of the month I had 40 or so to pick from as my fastest 33 and them race them around Mom's coffee table.

If Hot Wheels expands their line, I'll buy what I can. I'm also looking to get into picking up some of the Greenlight models, which I just found out about last year.IndyCar Advocate: A blog about enjoying the best sport in the world! Stop on by!
