    Walker Racing

    Anyone here suspect something larger in the walker/falken deal.

    firestone in negotiations with indycar.
    bernard inviting teams from other series to participate.
    walkers past indycar experience
    rahals primary is a competing company to falken.

    i think this is an early deal to mature into additional racing. before you slam me with the falken drifting talk, look at their website, they are growing beyond that. was trying to find their financials but couldn't.

    Don't think so.

    It's a way to get Falken to pay a large part of the cost of Walker going ALMS GT racing.

    I'd suspect Kumho before Falken as Kumho has gotten a number of OEM deals with mfg such as Hyundai and Ford.

      Falken owns the team, they hired Walker to run it.

          Rahal's primary is a tire store/distributor, not a tire manufacturer.

            fomula - thanks, i read the story, that's where i came up with the post #1 thoughts.
            vintage - ok, i know, remember i said i looked at their website.

            if i was a tire maker and i wanted to get into alms, who is the guy i'd hire....derrick walker is pretty low on the list in my opinion for those cars. however, as i suggested about falken, it appears from their own website that they are attempting to move into more auto sports than just drifting. walker is an indycar guy. his technical and biz knowledge is indycar. if falken has a larger dream of being an indycar tire maker - why not have a covert indycar guy running the program to develop and test tires like pat patrick did for firestone in 95-95 - that's what i think is in the works and this sportscar thingy is a front. if that's what i was doing, derrick walker would be much higher on the list than a sports car guy of course it's only suspicion on my part.
