What races are you most excited to watch/see this season?
I will be watching all of them too, unless I am working or some extenuating circumstance keeps me from being able to. But hose are the ones I am most pumped for.
:izod2:rb
I am a fan of the Verizon IndyCar Series, Formula 1, and AMA Supercross. Go Oriol, Seabass, RHR, and J.R.
The ones I'm going to Indy, Milwaukee, Iowa, probably Kentucky.
I think New Hampshire will be a good race what I want to see is the level of promotion they have, Jerry Gappens talked like he really wanted an IICS race so let's see how he makes it work. The same for Milwaukee, Randy really wanted it, went with new unproven promoters, will it come close to the crowd it had the last time. Once the done deal gets really done how will a Las Vegas race do better than in the past.
"You can't arrest those guys, they're folk heroes"
"They're criminals"
"Well most folk heroes started out as criminals"
I’m genuinely excited for every one. I’d be lying if I said I got as amped for Mid-Ohio as I will for Milwaukee, Kentucky, or Sao Paolo, but every one is a new experience.
Obviously, my year will pretty much center around Indy (I’m saving up for my tix, bronze badges, etc.), but I’m also hoping to make it to a couple of other races, lack of budget notwithstanding. I’d really like to cover a few more races “from the track” on Twitter and on my website.
EDIT: Although I should say a race I wouldn’t normally attend due to distance, Edmonton, is high on my wish list, just because I know how hard some people I respect worked to make it happen.
"Had every Athenian citizen been a Socrates, every Athenian assembly would still have been a mob." - Federalist 55 “My first reaction as a race car driver was to jump out of the car and use the Foyt technique of driver development - grab him and pound some sense into him.” "Make way. I'm Reaganing."
TV: Indianapolis 500 Sweepstakes and all the other ovals.
In person: Milwaukee and maybe Iowa (Indy Car race or a regular Saturday night show at Knoxville) to make up for the loss of my favorite event; Chicagoland.
