  • Roughly 11 weeks from St Pete, we need a final schedule!!!

I really need to make plans for vacations and races this year. I have request time off from work, make travel plans, etc....

Can someone please let me know if Edmonton and Vegas are on? St Pete, Mid Ohio, Milwaukee, Kentucky are just about locks. Texas two step is possible. Louden could be fun...wife has family in Baltimore. Vegas would make a great fall trip that might change other plans.

WE REALLY need this info by now!!! I KNOW I'm not the only one in this boat. RB, hook us up with a final schedule!!!! You want my money. I want to give it to you!! Help me out here!!!
    I Love May!

Randy Bernard is set to have a 'state of the series' announcement in about two weeks. Those items are all to be addressed although it's already been stated that both Vegas and Edmonton are a 'go'.

      One week from yesterday.
I am a fan of the Verizon IndyCar Series, Formula 1, and AMA Supercross. Go Oriol, Seabass, RHR, and J.R.

        Even better, I stand corrected.

My biggest thing is trying to figure out if I want to chance St. Pete and set my flight out for Sunday night, or break down and take a day off work and fly out Monday night...I'm afraid it'll get rained out on Sunday again

If it were me I'd definitely opt for taking a day off work and flying out Monday evening. I mean even if the race is run on Sunday it's not like you can't find 'something' to do.

Vegas is signed, but will not be announced before a title sponsor and some other things are signed as well.

If they are indeed a "go", then why the hell aren't they on the dang schedule? Could it be that they are not, in fact, a full "go"? That glitches and details remain to be locked down? That they are not, in fact, on the schedule at this time?

I suppose we'll know for sure in a little less than a week, won't we? I can't answer your questions with any facts. Perhaps in both cases they're waiting for the sponsorship to be formalized?!,...or perhaps they're planning on stretching out the news to keep the series in the media?! Perhaps there's other reasons I haven't mentioned or aware of.

However in light of Edmonton going through the efforts to get the race back and even asking RB for more time before officially cancelling the race previously it seems pretty likely. And it's been said that RB was asked by a fan either on a call-in show or by e-mail if they should buy plane tickets and reserve hotel accommodations to Las Vegas for the week-end of October 16 in anticipation of the IndyCar race. He told that fan to buy the tickets and make the reservations. Connect the dots I suppose but you don't need to talk-down to me as if I'm making it up.
