Ferrari not happy with 2013 4-cyl engine rules in F1
"Why couldn't we have a V6 turbo? We should not confuse affordable with cheap."
Wait, isn't FIAT coming over in 2013?
Just because Fiat likes something, doesn't mean the guys at Ferrari have to agree. Although, I'm sure Fiat would have rather they keep their opinions to themselves.

Ah, there's nothing more exciting than science. You get all the fun of sitting still, being quiet, writing down numbers, paying attention... Science has it all.

True....but Ferrari disliking F1's rules in 2013 (the same year FIAT is allegedly coming over) FIAT could step aside and let Ferrari play.
Ferrari will never leave F1. Can we please stop with this? They've been bitching since the 70's.
"It takes a special level of incompetance to make a schedule this terrible. America is possibly the greatest country in the world overall for tracks. To make a bad schedule in America takes effort. A special kind of effort. A kind of effort that only IndyCar could come up with."
You know looking back on the whole progress of choosing an engine for Indycars I thought the turbo 4 was a good idea because most all companies have them. But what tehy say is true. If you are a car company like Ford, GM, or Dodge, would you promote your performance economy cars with 4's and turbo 4's? Or your performance cars with turbo V-6's? Most all of these companies are going to turbo V-6's in hopes to do away with the V-8's. It was even rumored that GM was toying with the idea of a turbo V-6 in the Vette. So in that way the direction choosen for the IndyCar series makes much more sense. I know alot of people thought Honda was dictating the rules but clearly had IndyCar choosen just turbo 4 cylinders like some wanted it would have been a huge mistake.

"However, Auto Motor und Sport said Cosworth's Mark Gallagher believes only 30 million euros would be needed to design an engine according to the new 2013 formula."
That is how Cosworth would do it, it would cost Ferrari 300 million euros to do the same thing, but they would do it with style
We need to remember Ferrari is a racing company that builds road cars, not the other way around

....although i have managed to hate them a "little" less since chop schuey is no longer there
as for them coming to IICS, meh.
I like it.
