Is Will Power A Better Driver In 2011?

I'm biased since he's my favorite driver, but I think you'd be crazy to bet against him winning at least one oval race next season. He was too fast on the ovals in the second half of the season. He probably would have won Chicago if not for that debacle in the pits.
I also think there's a very solid chance that he wins the Indy 500. He's been really quick there the last couple of years. They've thrown it away in the pits both times (granted one of the blown stops this past year was his fault). If they can keep it together on the pit stops he's going to be really tough to beat--both at Indy and in the series in general. I could be wrong, but I think he was the only person that passed Franchitti on the track at Indy this past year. Dragging the fuel nozzle out of the pits killed them...
It's scary to think about how close he was to sweeping the road courses this past season:
Long Beach - Had the bobble with the engine/gearbox/whatever it was, which dropped him out of the lead.
Barber - Fastest car the entire weekend, iffy fuel strategy bit them.
Mid-Ohio - Franchitti got him in the pits.
Edmonton - Interesting call to take the black tires, still probably wins if Helio doesn't block him.
When you combine his skill with the Penske equipment, there's no one else even in the same area code as the 12 team on the road courses.

Not sure if he can better his 8 poles this year, but he will be more consistent, overall.
Will seems to learn from his mistakes and he rarely makes them twice. He will improve on the ovals, as he started to show pace during the end of the season. He'll learn to be a little more calm, as he easily was a nervous wreck on the last race of the year......and that cost him the championship. His crew will improve too. Getting better/more experienced crew members will help correct that.
No need to worry about the road courses. He's far and away the fastest guy out there.
2011 will be a solid year, hopefully a championship year.

Will will improve every season at Penske until he retires. Seems "Mears-like" to me. More time with Roger makes everyone better if they can handle the pressure

Since I have yet to see him turn a wheel in 2011 I will give him an I for incomplete.

balance now in the force (um - i mean schedule), a deficiency in one form is a real penalty. Just as much as
it is pretty impossible for someone that is only good on ovals to win the championship, the reverse is
equally as true. Let's keep it that way for the next decade or so and see how the sport progresses.

I think Power will be the strongest of the 3 Penske drivers, except for Indianapolis where Castroneves will be number one
