I see that there are no prominent links at the top menus between the IMS and IndyCar websites. The only links I see are at the very bottom via the IMSC Corporate section...something most fans don't use. I would have the links right at the top left, and identified by the logos. Simple and easy.
The IMS site has prominent links to the three races: 500, 400 and GP. It doesn't link to any of the series for these, and as far as I can see neither do any of the pages that detail each of these races.
IndyCar links to "schedule" which then lists all the events with less prominent links to some tracks' websites, including IMS (I would also suggest putting each track website link in a more prominent location on each race page). Here is the IndyCar series 500 sub-page where you can see the IMS link on the left above "TICKETS".
