          Wow I knew that Verizon was limited by NASCAR but not that limited in that they couldn't use the Cup drivers in ads and such. It's no wonder they left.

            Note that NASCAR.com is actually owned by Turner (TNT), and is thus mostly independent.

              NASCAR.com is not "owned by" Turner.

              It is maintained by Turner under NASCAR Media Group's supervision. It's merely an outsourcing arrangement since NASCAR isn't in the website running or news story writing business.
