    Car looks awesome!
Probably Briscoe's sponsor for the season. Since he's talking about his car. Who the heck could it be.

My guess is Meijer, but that is an absolute guess. I know they said that they would only be an associate sponsor on Helio & Briscoe's cars, but I could see them stepping up.
There's only one 500 that matters, and it isn't in Florida in February.

But Meijer has already been announced. Hasn't it? They did say something about Coke. Ahh who the heck knows. I'll just wait till Monday. Who the heck am I kidding? I'm gonna check this thread at least a thousand times before then.

          2 wishes

          1. Big name (he did use the adjective "big" in his tweet)
          2. Full Season

It will be fun to watch all of the guesses.

Even if it is only more money going to the big teams, I'm glad to see fully funded cars again in the series.
I am a fan of the Verizon IndyCar Series, Formula 1, and AMA Supercross. Go Oriol, Seabass, RHR, and J.R.

I think this announcement will connect a lot of the dots missing in all these Penske announcements. It is a great thing for the presumably most expensive team to get new sponsors. I think that says just as much about the value of the league as them not having sponsors last year. The snowball is starting to roll!

Are you think like I am that maybe Briscoe and Helio get season long sponsors and Helio gets Shell for the 500 alone?

That is what I am thinking. Briscoe would fly those colors during the 500 on his car, and major associate sponsor Shell would be on Helio's car, obviously.

Makes sense. Very unlike Penske to not have a major sponsor on his cars, although I doubt he's funded the team out of his own pocket this past season. If 'any' team owner can find sponsorship in IndyCar, it's Roger Penske.

What it it's one of their NASCAR sponsors? I could see Discount Tire or Ruby Tuesday stepping up (particularly the former since rival NTB will be on Graham's car), but probably not Miller or AAA with the TV ratings where they are (though I certainly wouldn't object if they did).

I am seriously thinking there is a GM connection. It would appear from here that the new sponsor would need to have deep pockets and a large commitment. Does GM still own part of something that wouldn't technically be part of GM (thinking of constructor rules for 2012). Maybe OnStar, Delphi, GMAC, or anything else? I do not know if GM owns anything anymore???? Could it be Chevy Dealers or UAW?

Delphi is it's own entity and I think has changed it's name but can't remember what that is off the top of my head. GMAC is now ally. There was a buyout/merger with that but not sure who bought out who. Goodwrench is being phased out so that isn't a possibility. I don't think you would ever see Chevy dealers or the UAW sponsoring a Honda badged car. However, it wouldn't suprise me if there is a GM connection though.

Who cares about sponsors! I went thru briscoes's twitter pics and good lord his new Porsche GT3 is absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Black on black, sexy baby very sexy.
I'd rather have 10% of the world interested in the ICS than 50% of US that NASCAR currently has

                              DPH Holdings.

Delphi was originally created as Automotive Components group by GM and shortly after renamed Delphi Automotive Systems. Then GM takes Hughes Electronics and Delco Electronics and merge them into Delphi Automotive Systems. The again it's renamed to just Delphi when it becomes independent from GM. When the company filed bankruptcy GM bought it back. When GM filed bankruptcy Motor Liquidation acquired Delphi and renamed it to DPH Holdings.
