  • If Fiat comes on board, what marquee?

The snowball is speeding down hill, success breeds success (help me, I’m running out of clichأ©s’). If Fiat joins the party, under what brand?

You forgot these guys (would be happy with either one)

Dodge makes most sense, but if indeed Alfa is coming back to the US having them in IndyCar could be a good place to start rebuilding the brand.

        You forgot Alpha Romeo.

Bugatti would be pretty cool. Mostly because it's fun to say Bugatti. I think Dodge is kind of a wildcard because it's a completely different direction with marketing compared to the others.

In order of probability I'd say

        Dodge
        Alpha
        Fiat
        Ferrari
        Maserati
        Bugatti
        Chrysler

I place the odds of them badging it as a Chrysler about the same as them running a Sebring in NASCAR.

I'd love to see the Alfa Romeo or Maserati brands in IndyCar again.

Fiat or Chrysler, depending on how many Fiat branded cars they want to sell. Probably not Dodge; wrong technology story, IMO.

I don't think the Alfa or Maserati brands are a good match with IndyCar in the US, unless Fiat wants to sell a lot of Alfas at CJDR dealers.

But Dennis Reinbold is the Maserati dealer in Indianapolis, so that would be cool if it happens.

Seems like the rumors mention Alfa. One even said Nissan. I would take any of them

I am a Chrysler boy, so a Dodge or Chrysler branded car would be awesome.

                    Chrysler most likely.

BTW, you only need one e in marque.

Alfa Romeo is returning to the US in 2012.

I can hardly imagine FIAT goes with anything other than Alfa Romeo. That just makes the most sense, marketing-wise.

Alfa Romeo! In the past, Alfa Romeo supplied the engines for a lot of categories. It is now relegated to being a brand FIAT alternative products. By now you know that Alfa Romeo does not exist anymore. The motors are FIAT and have not developed the sport.

The Maserati, however, is already structured to build and develop an engine, but in my opinion, the engine TURBO does not relate to business plans. I think it's easier for an engine with the Fiat brand logo Alfa Romeo not to undermine the ideas of other brands.

who says they have to choose only one name to market in IndyCar?
what about Alfa Romeo engines and Ferrari aero kits?

the Bugatti name will obviously not be used by Fiat
