Good. I was just about to say something about that. It's a busy news day!

The parties agreed to the terms of the new contract the night before this year’s Indianapolis 500, and with today’s announcement, Hunter-Reay and the team enter the off-season with their future together certain.
The sponsors of Hunter-Reay’s 2011 IndyCar effort will be announced in the near future.

Great signing! Now, I expect either Adam Carroll or Justin Wilson to be in a fourth car.

            Best news of the week!
We want to relate to Americana. I went to the Indy 500 and that was Americana. I sat in various turns and I didn’t see any champagne drinkers, but I saw a lot of beer drinkers. We appeal to the wine and cheese crowd, but we also appeal to the masses – the beer drinkers.” Randy Bernard

I forgot how fast "good news" threads sink at Trackforum. I should have looked farther down the page before I put this one up...

Pleased for RHR, but I think they should have parked this press release for a while after announcing TK's departure from the team.

If they've known about this since they went to bed the night before the 500, then why announce it the same day they say they're parting company with their most successful driver?

Maybe to do a bit of damage control?

They did issue a nice statement concerning TK.

The timing of the signing and the recent annoucements is so weird I wonder if the sponsor to be named is.... 7-Eleven?
