  • Vote for Sage Karam SI SportsKid of the Year

Just saw on IndyCarPR's twitter account that Sage Karam (US F2000 champion for Andretti) is a top 10 semifinalist for Sports Illustrated Sports Kid of the Year. It would be cool to get a young, talented racer on the cover of SI for Kids.

    Vote for him at http://ow.ly/2RL8w

    Bump!

    Sage K.

    Age: 15

    State: Pennsylvania

    Sports: IndyCar Racing

    BIO
Sage doesn’t have his driver’s license yet, but that hasn’t stopped him from becoming one of IndyCar’s rising stars. Sage captured the 2010 USF2000 Driver's Championship, helping Andretti Autosport win the team title as well. He won nine races in 12 starts and was named Rookie of the Year despite being the youngest driver on the circuit and one of only two Americans competing. Sage also belongs in the winner’s circle away from the track. He’s active in Operation Smile, a worldwide charity that provides life-changing surgery for children with facial deformities, such as cleft lip and palate.

Supported by Michael Andretti and Michael Flux, so I would think his funding is safe.

I like watching him climb the ladder, he showed so much speed last season. Look forward to his Star Mazda season, I wouldn't be suprised at all if he would become champion right away, although that seems a bit unlikely.
