since the 2 series came back together and yet there are still bitter fans on crapwagon.com . . . Are there just some people who aren't happy unless they're pissed off about something?

Yes, there are. But make it easier on yourself - just don't go there.

Heck, there's plenty of bitter fans here.

Look, there are people upset about it who aren't even into racing anymore. It sucks, but it's their choice. If they don't like what's being offered, they won't watch. If they still have a grudge and want to live like that, it's on them.

Life's too freakin' short for that, IMO. Enjoy the parts you like, or focus on something else you do like. That's the only way to go about it.

Absolutely agree. I know about a half a dozen from my former race circle that were passionate fans indeed. Must just couldn't even be bothered anymore. The odd few remain interested in F1. Such is the damage caused by the split.

Everybody would like to see the series exist exactly as they envision it. Almost everybody understands that's not possible so they lump it try to advocate for changes to bring it closer what they want. Then there is that small segment who tend to shout the loudest who can't accept that it is never going to be exactly what they want to see and they excel at whinning, moaning and complaining and they deride anyone who doesn't agree with them. And they look like idiots to everyone else.
"You can't arrest those guys, they're folk heroes"
                    "They're criminals"
"Well most folk heroes started out as criminals"

Yep. But they can always point to the continued failures of the series as complete vindication of whatever agenda they're pushing, no matter how irrational or flimsy the connection is. Members with completely diametrically opposed opinions of "THE Solution" do the exact same thing

You mean the current ratings don't prove my theory that things would be fine if owners hired only left-handed drivers born in September?

They're upset because they wanted Milwaukee on their dream schedule. They are still holding out hope for Korea.
