Ana and Fisher were running pretty close and by themselves at the time. The replay showed very little except the actual crash. I thought there may have been some "racing girl" interaction we did not see.

From the replay I saw on Versus, Ana was shooting sparks out the back end of her car and right after that she was into the wall. I suspect (but don't quote me) a RR tire went flat or something on the RR suspension failed.

Anna just Tweeted that something might have broke. It either bottomed out badly with cold tires and fuel or something broke. Looked like she was dragging a sparkler.

Inexperience + cold tires + heavy fuel + too high on the track (clag) = Trashed D&RR race car. Karma came back to bite 'em square on the azz! Looks good on 'em. Glad Ana wasn't hurt though all the same.

From the sparks and the angle of the car it looked like something broke to me. It was more or less confirmed by how quiet the teamowner in the booth was at the time...

That didn't happen though did it? Maybe a veteren and experienced driver would have had better luck.

rear suspension broke .... so it wouldn't have mattered who was driving only a smaller cheque would not have covered as much damage. Since PT and I are about the same age I know for darn sure when I sure don't comeback from physical stress as easy as when I was young. Maybe is was better to let the young take those kind of impacts. Saved him a sore body.

Is suspension breakage confirmed? If the wall wasn't there, she would have saved it.
