  • Graham Rahal 3rd Ganassi Car?

Was i completely inhebreated last night or did i hear and see Graham Rahal will drive the 3rd Ganassi car in 2011 on the Speed Report? Said it wont be a Target sponsored car. With that being said, i believe Dixon is safe as well if they said "3rd car"... anyone else see this...?

He has been linked with a Ganassi seat for a while, but I don't believe it before he's signed an driving the car.

      Too good to be true.

I don't go why they'd go with him over say a driver who's actually won a race this year.

He said what he has been sayimg, that Chip is 'working on running a thrid car with Rahal' and that it won't be a Target car. Which means Chip has to be able to do what so few have been able to accomplish, find a sponsor. Doubling his degree of difficulty is he has to find a sponsor that doesn't conflict with the brands thats Target farms out individual race deals with.

Ryan Hunter Reay is the only driver to win a race this year that is a free agent unless you think Briscoe will be on the market. And if that is the case, I'd take either RHR or Rahal over Briscoe. Briscoe is good but RHR is better and Rahal could be with a little more experience.

Other than the drivers already on his team and the Penske drivers, there is only Hunter-Reay and Kanaan, and they aren't going anywhere.

Good Job Graham, you know how to play the game. All of his effort looking for funding and sponsorship at the start of this season is showing. Some of the other young americans should be taking notes.

FWIW, I've heard that Quick Trim is now being sold in Target stores.

But wait, Isn't this what everyone says will help the series? An american with a chance to win each week?
