  • What would it take for you to attend Homestead?

    how about $30 ticket?

For $30 admission, this fan-friendly initiative from the track includes:
    • Children 12 and under are free for both Oct. 1 and 2. Watch practice and qualifying for both series the first day and the races the next day.
    • Put your wallet after purchasing your ticket. Bring your own food and drink. Every spectator may enter the facility with a 6x6x12 cooler.
    • There's unlimited re-entry. Come and go as often as you like to restock.
    • Free parking.
you also get pretty close championship decider and a full sized field to boot.
Have I convinced you to attend Homestead?

I'm hoping somehow, someways, we can get 20K to attend.
Rest in peace, Dan Wheldon 1978 - 2011

Sounds great, but I would need free airfare from CA and a free hotel room. My racing budget is gone until next year.. (Long Beach and Sonoma).

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Put me within 3 or 4 hours of Homestead and I would be there. Not willing/able to fly or overnight for a race (other than Indy) anymore. Did travel/overnight to the Michigan 500 a few times in the early 90's. May try to work in a trip to visit family in the Bay area with a hop to Sonoma in the future.

I'm hopefully going to be at the Petit Le Mans, so I wouldn't be available anyway.
Insert something witty here. I don't care.

Many hours worth of Cessna rental, money for the hotel and meals, applicable landing/tie-down fees, and this time of year, an instrument rating.

Yeah - too bad they ever changed that in the first place! Original Homestead was
                a very interesting/challenging oval.

I would have to be a few hours from Homestead for one thing and have to be able to afford the travel costs for another.

Man, that sounds great, but I just don't have the airfare. I feel blessed I was able to go to Kentucky this month. Homestead's out of reach, sadly. I'll be watching every minute, though.

                      This is not good.

Are you buyin'? I would need roundtrip airfare from Baltimore or Philly, also hotel and rental car. Times are tough, there are empty seats at NASCAR races and NFL football games. My buddy who is an accountant said to forget about the numbers you see on the news, real unemployment is at about 19%.

I'm gonna add my eyeballs to the .0265 TV rating, I'm wearing an IZOD XFG golf shirt today and I've got a liter of DAD's in the fridge at home. Best I can do for now.

How about a guarantee that Honda won't mess with the engine power level to favor the 2 championship contenders...

I would go without hesitation but I'm about $2,500.00 short on cash. Maybe next year. Uh, oh yeah, that's right, there is no next year for this race.

On edit: Wow, that's weird. I typed "there" once and two are showing up.

I'm going with my sister. Haven't decided where to sit, but Turn 1 grandstand seems like a good spot. Staying for free in Ft. Lauderdale. It's a haul, but you can't beat the price.
