In other news, President Bush said that we won the war in Iraq, the NASDAQ is at 4800 and home values are way up.

Didn't a USAC guy get this shot a few years back? And am I thinking the same guy got hurt in a lights car?

Why are you even in this forum. I mean I come up with something has made me happy, and probably makes other people happy. You come in here and **** all over it. Your post isn't constructive in anyway, it's just immature and childish. Of course that's all you know to do; just be a angry, childish, wet blanket. Nothing can make you people happy. Ya'll won't be happy until all forms of racing cease to exist.

You may be thinking about Craig Dollansky, who got injured in the first Freedom 100. But he's a WoO guy. Jay Drake was the USAC Sprint champion in 2004 and got a full-season Lights ride with Vision in 2005. But I don't think there was a formal program with that.

Geoff Dodge got a ride in Lights for being the top rookie over 18 at the Knoxville Nationals in 2005. That WAS an IRL deal. He didn't do much in Lights--but he didn't have very good results in sprint cars, either.

I don't drink the USAC cool-aide like others on here but this part was pretty cool

“I’d like to see Tracy, Darland, Clauson and myself run the Hoosier 100, the Lights race and Indy 500 all in the same weekend.”

That would be more exciting than the "Double" to me.

To me it's simple. Do you want to see the next Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart or Kasey Kahne go to NASCAR or would you like the IndyCar management to go proactive and try to snag them for the IICS? I give this

EXACTLY. There's some people on this board that don't understand why the above is important.

Calm down...it was a joke about "old news", as we had been discussing this same thing for a couple of days already. But hey, congrats your 50th post anniversary and using it for getting mad and calling names....usually people don't get to that point until they are well over 500 posts! Cheers!
