    What would the the Vegas odds be on this...

    Team Zali/ Billy Roe... 9 points

    Unser, Sharp and Cheever 8.67 points(averaged)

    Heck add in Ray (did not run)

    and Unser, Sharp, Cheever, J. Lazier, and Ray 7.6 points (averaged)

    Mackie, care to handicap this one for Phoenix (assuming Zali shows up )?

    What irks me (maybe its too soon for the truth), DW was a 16-oval WIN specialist, yet the vast majority those boohooing for him, hardcarders & fans, alike are the same ones trying to kill anything with more than 9 deg banking & 4 corners, where Dan ultimately made his home...

    Actually, I am not too sure you could get that good of odds to bet it.

            Gator, I just got back from Vegas where I couldn't get a bet in on Zali no show! I learned one thing, 43 cars are too many for NASCAR when the same handful stink up every show! T Bodine and Front Row Joe have no signage and passed Terry Labonte early and often! I will do a NASCAE column tomorrow for StockCarCity.com and link it here so Howard can see it!

            I am giving up my crystal ball anyway, after Fontana I was down on Barron/Blair and encouraged by Redon/Conquest, What do I know? Couls any guess that Roe would run as well as he did, or John de Vries! What makes the IRL so great is that you get these kind of surprises all the time, and the expected too. I am concerned about Jon Herb, he has regularly demonstrated that he isn't in control of his car, in almost every race and test he has spun, finally making contact on Saturday morning, with nothing at stake! He came in under the radar whill we were watching Mack, de Vries, Noda and Roe! Next race Phoenix, I would make it 100-1 that would all finish! The cream will come to the top at Phoenix!
