Does anyone have the Radio shack scanner?

I got the scanner from Radio Shack and can't get it to work. Does anyone have one of these and have the same issues? I think I might just throw it and get one already programmed from track scanner. Just wondering does anyone else have these "issues" with it? It was only 85 bucks but dang!
If you have one is there a site online that tells what to do with it to program it? I looked on the online manuel and it didn't help at all.

I have a Pro-95 and I would not want to program it manually. I have some free software that allows you type everything out into a program and then load it to your scanner.

I have the pro-95 also, but I am to cheap to buy the computer cable. They want 30$ for that thing...

So I have been programming it by hand for the last few days. The only probs I have had with it have been reception related. This year I bought one of those smaller attenna that are supposed to be better for picking up race activity. We shall see...

I am cheap too. I borrow my brothers when I need it. This is my first year taking a scanner. What can you tell me about those antennas?

It was 10$ so I figured it was worth a shot. Otherwise I need to pickup another scanner.

i have a radio shack scanner. the instructions are for s$%t but I figured it out and createda word file with step by step instructions for when my dad takes my scanner.

Was the reception that bad with the regular antenna? Where do you sit at?

Regular antenna is junk at the track, pick up way too many signals (police, medical, taxi, etc.). Buy the stubbie.

BTW, ditch the Radio Shack and buy a Uniden. I am on only my second Uniden scanner since the '80s and the only reason I bought a new one was the size. Some of my friends suffered with Radio Shacks until they wised up!

Since Marion County is all on digital I am not sure I will have to much of a problem picking up other stuff.

I sat high in turn one at quals and picked up taxis, cell phones (I think), catering, hotels, etc. until I removed my short antenna. Lots of interference out there.

It was pretty bad. Even picking up the track brodcast would cut in and out.

I havent used it at Indy (first time this year), but I have used it at the Milwaukee Mile. And the Mile is much smaller so I figured I would be in a heap of trouble at Indy if I didn't do something.

Anyone know a retailer that sells Uniden scanners and actually has them in stock? Every website I go to says they sellthem online only i.e. Best Buy, Radio Shack, Curcuit City, Walmart, Target, etc........I'm in Ohio fwiw.

I've been leaning back and forth about getting one but would like to actually see it up close before buying it.....plus shipping isn't really an opinion now if I want to use it this weekend.

Nothing like waiting until the last minute to make a decision.

I need to pick a set up, and I cant find anything up here.. and its to late to ship...

I bought the Radio Shack last year on clearance. The batteries didn't even last me until about lap 20. Does anyone else have this problem? I have a REALM I've had for about ten years and I think I've changed the batteries twice.
