    Kissing the Bricks

    I know in 05 Wheldon and Michael with team kissed them and in 06 Hornish did too. Not sure about 2007 if Dario did it because of the rain and well lets face it....why kiss the bricks when you can kiss Ashley?

    but what do you think?

    The '500' winners since Gil de Ferran in 2003 have done so (it was started by Dale Jarrett in 1996)

    After a tad bit of research, I'll correct myseld after it seems that Helio Castroneves was observed kissing the bricks minutes after winning the race in 2001. I do not know if he did it again in 2002.

    So he seems to be the first Indy 500 to do it. but still, all since '03 have done it.

      Personally if I won the 500 I would have rather kissed one of the Hollywood women or the festival queens like they used to.
      I am blessed to have witnessed "The Greatest Spectacle In Racing" 50 times!

                      im all for a fan of the speedway's tradition or a fan in general kissing them, i am just against a 500 winner taking a tradition from the 400
