AGP seems certain that they are on the schedule for 2009. Therefore, I assume they have an agreement with the league to make this happen. (It is quite unlikely they would have made this purchase without that agreement in hand ahead of time.) Which begs the question, where does this race fit in the schedule? What other event may have to switch dates, or be eliminated to make room for Toronto?Mess with me and you mess with the whole trailer park.

As a Seattlite, transplanted for financial gain, but still with ties, truly, truly, nothing is further away from the Seattle sports fans radar scope than Indy Car racing. NASCAR, yes; from my logger friends, to my next tier to the top friends at a certain large computer software company. Sprint cars at Skagit or Elma on a warm Saturday night, racing prohibitively expensive sports cars in Canada on Sunday. Going to the Seafair Nationals at PIR, and watching the hydros on Lake Washington at the Chevrolet Seafair Cup. But very seldom do Indy Cars come up in discussion, except maybe to talk about A.J. Foyt or Mario Andretti.
Heck, USAToday could probably do an InfoGraphic poll and 75% of Americans would still think that either of these guys might win at Indy this year. Truly, very few auto racing fans out here give a rat's *** about Indy Cars...other than me or SeaFury. IMHO
