Seems to me like Michael might want to give an old dog another shot. Forsythe on the side of Marco's car looked odd...that's the same Forsythe isn't it? I'm sure there are 1000 reason's that I don't know about as a fan with no connections, so go easy on me!

Haha, No there is no connection with the Forsythe's you see on Marco's car and the team owner Gerry Forsythe.

Andretti Green has already stated they didnt want to run a 5th car.

Paul Tracy will never drive for AGR. Gerry Forysthe is not a sponsor of AGR.

It is not the same Forsythe. That has been discussed a hundred times here. PT has no shot of getting a ride with AGR, Micheal has already called him OLD.

Speaking of Marco's car - I was told that there would be a special sponsor for the 500. This is what I got from AGR contact - he wouldn't tell me the sponsor though.

TG propped up the 5th AGR car, I don't think there is a need for a 5th car this year.

But, with PT and AGR. I think AGR contacted Monster about a sponsorship package, but obviously nothing materialized.

From what I remember, PT and MA were not the best of teammates. PT would have to pony up some serious cash to get a ride at AGR.

Let's not forget that another member of the "Michael Andretti Fan Club", Robby Gordon, was the sub when Dario got injured 4 or 5 years ago for Indy.

If, heaven forbid, one of the AGR drivers got hurt during practice, it wouldn't shock me in the least for Mikey to give PT a call.

Unless someone is injured on one of the existing car/driver combos, you will not see a change unless they get to practice and someone cannot get the car up to speed. Wait a minute...that sounds like the old days, doesn't it? Of course, even THIS will not happen if the driver has his/her own sponsorship money tied to the team. I'd say the door could be open to any of the following:

Meira
Servia
Scheckter
Manning
Hunter-Reay
Moraes
Howard
Viso (but he will be fast, trust me)
Camara
Foyt
Bell

I don't see any of the other drivers being forced out of their cars.

Of course, the other option is for TBA car:

#21 Playa del Racing - They'd love to have him, right? But he may not want that ride.

#22 Vision #3 - This one seems to have the most buzz (for what that's worth)

#77 Penske #3 - I just don't see Roger using that car for anything other than a backup to Briscoe and Castroneves.

#98 CURB/Argajanian/Beck - This could be a good match.

You have to wonder if the Playa del or C/A/B team will want to get serious about racing full-time next year and try out a driver like Tracy to jump start their team.

It's all just mindless speculation on my part, but I guess it's fun to think about.

Monster wouldn't fit in with the other AGR sponsors, "Franks" being one of them on all cars. AGR is a tight knit team, and Dario did fit in and play by what was expected of him. The entire team works together on setups and shares them. Every driver is allowed to race for wins. Every team also gets ruffled feelings when one is taken out by another, what about TK/Danica at KS a year ago, Danica/Marco, I guess at The Glen? That doesn't mean they aren't a team. Dario is gone and the team misses his setup help. p-c, while you may not like some on the team, perhaps Dario, it is indeed a team, and I, who doesn't think much of PT, thinks he would be disruptive. Besides, AGR didn't enter an additional entry, if they wanted to run another car wouldn't they run Michael?

Why would a team owned by Michael Andretti use a driver who once commissioned the Michael Andretti Driving School for the Blind T-shirts? Do you think Michael thought those were funny? Yes, I know PT ran Indy for Team Green, not AGR.

Actually, I like most of AGR, although I don't like the way Dario's year turned out (from a team support perspective), and that includes the unceremonious dumping of Marino last year from the ALMS ride after the divorce between Dario and AGR.

For the most part I regard them highly, I like Bryan Herta and Christian Fittipaldi a lot, have high hopes for Marco, like Tony Kanaan, am willing to watch Danica (and point her out vigorously to my daughter who's 6), and am still waiting to see what Mutoh has.

I also know that, while Paul as a competitor and Michael as a competitor didn't get along at all, Michael was very much part of the effort to convince Paul to stay with the team when it switched series - and that Michael still thinks Paul would be an asset to the team, both for marketing and for teamwork reasons.

Sure, there would be liabilities as well in taking PT on. But PT's going to have to learn to live with the new world anyway, whether it be as a member of a team like AGR (where at least you get your own support team and chassis) or whether it's part of a sportscar program (where you have to REALLY learn to compromise with a driver).
