  • Get rid of Marty...on second thought...

Okay, I'm firmly in Marty's corner. Here is why...

Chip Ganassi SUCKED as a driver, but he loved his sport, and is now a GREAT owner

    Ditto Dale Coyne
    and Dick Simon
    and Eric Bachelart

So many of these guys build up our series by having a passion for it. Okay, so they didn't all really suck as drivers, but none were winners on the track. All are winners off the track, next to the track, talking about the track, bringing $$$ and fans to the track. HOPEFULLY you get my point, and all this garbage can go away.

I keep going back to the Nascar crowd. As much as the guys running 25-43 suck, and the fact that only 10-12 drivers even have a legitimate chance to win a race, they all know they are in it together.

Listen to this LOUD AND CLEAR: NASCAR FANS ARE SMARTER THAN YOU! THEY LOVE THEIR SPORT MORE THAN YOU DO! THEY SUPPORT THEIR DRIVERS, and EVEN THOSE THEY DON"T CHEER FOR, BETTER THAN YOU!

I hope everyone can see the benefits of having Marty Roth in the league...and one day, Marty's team is gonna win some races. Will all then be rejoicing for him, or saying it was a waste of time?

    Live the dream Marty!
    I Love May!

What if he wins Indy next month.... that would be cool.

I am a self-confessed Marty Maniac, but I feel I must defend the honor of Mr. Simon. He had his days, believe me. Had his engine not gone south in 73, it might've been his face on the Borg and not Johncock's. He wrung the heck out of Vollstedt's Offy at Indy in 78, wrenched by PDM's own Paul Diatlovich. In 85 he was among the fastest on the track. He also had a top three in 87 but for penalties.

Dick's problem was money, or lack thereof. Not talent. Ditto Dale Coyne.

Marty is a class act and I fully respect him for what he is doing. If I had the opportunity to live me dream and start a team, you can bet i would be in the car!

The man is living the dream that many of us have. Go get 'em Roth Racing!

If he does, all of us Marty bashers should ship $100.00 to either Brian's wish or the Hole in the Wall Camps.
After years of fighting and a split, guess what, we are all IndyCar

October will always be a sad racing month for me. RIP Greg and Dan. You both were great and we miss you.

Marty Roth also runs a 2nd car - and who did he put in it?

An up and coming young driver who has proven his chops in lower tiers - exactly what the same people criticising have been clamoring for

If I hear him say "lock step" or "till we meet again" one more time, I'm going to hire someone to pummel him.

                            I'm kidding, of course. I'm a kidder.
