Well she's the most popular driver for the momment: the series she races in is the Indy Car Series. Some would like to see that change. So they start rumors.

I am not sure if these people want to see the driver in their favorite series or just want to see the Indy Series take another shot by losing a driver.

Hey Grinder, NASCAR yes, they would not mind one bit "stealing" away Danica on their self pronounced "diverstiy tour" But F1 is a bit of surprise that there is even a mention of this. being such an "elitist" series. but again, this is not always the most reliable source...

This is a silly rumour.
She may be popular here but F-1 teams don't need a popularity boost, they need results. There are several more drivers available who are much better on road courses. She may get an obligatory test drive for the novelty of it, but I highly doubt it will result in anything.

I would think that she would have more success in F1 than in NASCAR.

Grab on to your breakfast but I believe she would do better in F1 than trying to
wrassle aroung one of those taxicabs. That said I also believe she is better off
right where she is. She can at least handle a "crapwagon" pretty well and has
the attention of every American race fan with more support than any other
driver in the series.

I think she is currently in the series best suited for her, and I also think she knows that. However, she is also not dumb enough to burn any bridges which is why you will see this sort of speculation.
