  • Red Bull paint scheme!

I'm currently involved in a project (which I can't discuss yet) that has afforded me the opportunity to see the final mockups of the new Cheever/Infiniti/Red Bull Indy Racer.

The scheme has a very simple and classy look to it. Red Bull and Infiniti will be very dominant on the new car. The transporter and other equipment have last years Cheever Indy Racing logo partially incorporated into the Red Bull logo. I thought it was very stunning and should be instantly recognizable on television.

Just thought some of you would appreciate some news to wet your appetite for the official unveiling.

Thanks! I can hardly wait to see th new cars but I have to say the best car I have ever seen was the car Eddie drove in the last Texas race...after Sept. 11....remember it was red, white and blue with the entire front end blue with white stars...just fantastic!

          My Guess,

Black Car with the F1 Red Bull logo similarly placed on the engine cowling, Infiniti on the side pod (but could be Red Bull spelled out) in block yellow letters trimmed in red for a sort of bloody-boilermaker look. There will be a well placed starsnstripes and "My Other Car Is a Q45" on the rear wing.

What irks me (maybe its too soon for the truth), DW was a 16-oval WIN specialist, yet the vast majority those boohooing for him, hardcarders & fans, alike are the same ones trying to kill anything with more than 9 deg banking & 4 corners, where Dan ultimately made his home...

Barb, your welcome and yes that was a fantastic paint job at the Chevy 500!

Jim, sorry to disappoint, but I am not involved as in depth as to know who will be driving the racecars. I guess Mr. Cheever will be one of them though! If there is a #52 my vote would probably be for Buddy Rice.

Eddie's Texas II car was the most beautiful race car of any type I have ever seen. And I have seen a whole LOT of them!!!

Will it be painted up for the TITW or do we have to wait for Homestead?

I wish we could keep that paint scheme for all of 2002, if not on Eddie's then on another car.

You must have an idea what the new update kits look like too. Can you tell us about that?

I doubt he does. Most paint mockups use a generic template.

I personally don't care too much what they look like, and other then Cheever, I don't care who is in them. What I do care about is that both cars run in every race and run well! I don't want to see any more "electronic issues," Buhl doesn't have them and Foyt's Olds to Infiniti 2 hour thrash at Texas didn't have any either!

How about the Cheever Red Cross car? Was that a donation by Eddie to the Red Cross? How did that come about? If it were a donation, it might be a neat one to repeat this year, and a way for that cool flag paint scheme to be used again.
