  • Would Helio won if he..

Would Helio have won if he had taken tires on his last stop? Graham seemed a lot faster on the new tires.

Would there be any advantage of having a brand new chassis over the ones that Helio and TK were driving?

Doubt either had anything to do with it...Tires may have given a little more grip, but Rahal ran away from Helio and new tires and or chassis had anything to do with it. Rahal simply raced better in the end and deserved to win...if Helio remained close I would say maybe new tires would have helped get by, but Helio was 4-5 seconds back...Rahal was the man on Sunday!
RIP Dan Wheldon - Thanks for the memories.

On good rubber I'm sure Helio could have stayed with him. But I doubt he could have beaten him either. Helio wasn't super quick most of the day. Usually there was a few guys running faster, Graham often being one of them.

Sure, there were a few guys faster then Graham during the day. But he was always one of the faster guys and his team pulled the right strategy to let him make the most of it.

Helio said he had bad understeer towards the end. Tires certainly could've helped but so much of that track is mechanical grip, one would think they'd need to alter the setup a bit too, to gain time.

Graham was "in the zone". I don't think Twinkle Toes would have been able to pass him in a month of Sundays.

              That was harsh.

Got it fixed. I have been called lots of things, but not sure if ******* is one of them. I guess having a little ******* in me is all bad.

                    Haha.

                    Loved that movie.

In the spirit of the thread nitpicking, I'll add that it's "I'm your huckleberry." Uhh, I think.

I once googled that phrase to see if it was common slang back then and learn its origins. I didn't find anything. Although I've heard of calling a person a huckleberry.

Never a great precedent to set for yourself.

Hope you'll be absolutely perfect in your diction, for every post you ever make from here, forward.

Otherwise....you'll just look like a hypocritical douchebag. You know... glass houses and stones, and all that.

I'm sorry, but Helio stopped on lap 34 for fuel and tires, and came in again for slicks on lap 45, four laps after Graham did. I'm not even sure why Helio stopped on lap 60. I'll look back at the TiVo tonight.

Where would Helio have been position wise after the pit if he had taken tires? Seems to me the point is moot.
