  • Thank God He Didn't Punch Him...

I wish I was right in on the confrontation between Vitor and Franck. Or, at least being blessed with the talent to be able to read lips. All I wanted for my two guys was to finish in the Top Ten, and out of all the people to take one another out, it had to have been them. Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place...

Where's the Masked Avenger, er PT, when you need him?
      It's a Hoosier thing, you wouldn't understand...

I think they got over it right there. Did you see Vitor give the other driver a pat on the back as they separated?

Usually when you see an animated conversation like that followed but a pat on the back it is accompanied by some sarcastic remark like "you'll learn to drive someday",

That being said, I agree, once they cool off, I'm sure all will be fine between them.

Vitor's a gentleman, so I probably wouldn't expect fisticuffs from him.

He is a gentleman. That's as P.O.'ed as I've ever seen him. And for good reason.

Vitor is a good guy. He is really feeling the pressure right now. He has to perform well in 2008 to keep his ride for the longterm. JB and Griff want to be up front.

I have to admit also, that is the first time I've ever seen Vitor P.O.ed,I'm sure he is feeling a lot of pressure to win.He had a great run today, just should have had a little bit more patience.I sure hope he wins soon! He's a great guy,and he sure does alot to help out others!

Vitor should have been POed and I don't blame him for being so animated. Perrara came in too hot and did not have the corner. To quote Scott Goodyear, he was being "Overjealous." That said, Perrar's pace has been very impressive. He may get a podium this year.

As the team's engineering staff comes to grips with the "new" car, I'd expect that he has a chance for a win. The kid has talent to spare. He was the class of the field in Atlantics last year in terms of sheer driving talent.

Rookies are going to make mistakes, and sometimes it's going to cost others as well. Perrara is going to be pretty decent at it. It cost TK a win last weekend.

It's was funny because Vitor was so animated and other driver was just taking drinks from a water bottle like nothing was happening.

Really though when I heard them say Vitor I was like what?

                              From Panther's website:

"What an absolutely stupid rookie mistake,” a furious Meira said after the race. “(Franck) Perera was totally wrong. It was a dumb rookie move and something you'd expect out of somebody that doesn't know what they're doing on a street course.”

Barnes summarized the incident even quicker.

"Maybe next year Conquest will hire drivers who can see,” he said.

Man, can you hear the anger in Vitor's voice or what?! Who knew such a mellow guy could get so ... Although, I'll back up Vitor in this case.
