I think I just heard them say that the clock started during the race brodcast. I take it that the race will be a timed race. Have there ever been any other timed races before in the IRL? I remember it happening with Champ Cars, but I do not remember it happening with Indycars. Boo! In my opinion, timed races are bunk.

I would prefer they estimate how many laps they can complete and announce that. Better to have a lap goal then a clock goal in my opinion.Got to watch out for those Libertarians - they want to take over the government and leave everyone alone!

They also said 100 laps.
What's the following programming? What does it cost to run over, TV-time-wise?"Each day well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well therefore to this one day for it, and it alone, is life"

It's total crap. Just cuz they have been doing it for years doesn't make it right or good. Lot's of bad things have been happening for years.
So, 2/3 through the race, they say, "never mind, the race isn't going to be 100 laps after all, we're going to end it after 83. Sorry."
So, the guy who doesn't take a pit stop gets to win, only because they changed the race length 2/3 through.
It's total crap.If you do what you've always done...
you'll get what you've always gotten.
